2016 HEROS AMONG US Britney Gengel Humanitarian Award May 19,2016 at 5:30 pm Hanover Insurance Group 440 Lincoln St. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC SERVPRO of South Worcester is proud to announce our sponsorship with the American Red Cross for this community event. The American Red Cross, our community and our nation mourned with the Gengel family over the loss of their daughter Britney in the Haiti earthquake. Britney’s dream was to move to Haiti and open an orphanage. Her parents, Cherlyann and Len have made her dream come true. The Britney Gengel Humanitarian Award honor’s Britney’s passion to help others abroad. This year we will present this award to a distinguished young man that founded Students Helping Children Across Borders, Inc. Jeffrey Reppucci – Award Recipient Founder of Students Helping Children Across Borders, Inc. Jeffrey Reppucci grew up in Newburyport, Massachusetts and moved to Worcester in 2010 to attend the College of the Holy Cross, where he majored in Russian Studies and was a defenseman on Holy Cross’s Division I Men’s Hockey Team. Jeff graduated as valedictorian and commencement speaker of the Holy Cross class of 2014. Jeff founded Students Helping Children Across Borders, Inc. which is a not-forprofit dedicated to empowering youth through sports and wellness opportunities, Jeff has led the organization to build playgrounds and recreation spaces through community building programs in six countries.
